Peyton's Film Debut

Attached are two fascinating videos of baby Peyton doing baby stuff. In the first, the young starlet can be seen having an exciting dream that no doubt includes one of her many exciting adventures during her first three days with us. In the second video, Peyton plays to her audience's tender side by looking real damn cute.

Happy Birthday, Peyton!

Peyton Kristen made her debut at 6:29am on Wednesday, January 13, 2010. She arrived about two and a half weeks early. Peyton weighed in at an impressive 7lbs 15oz, and measured 20 1/4 inches in length. Speaking objectively, Peyton is the most adorable baby ever. Although we appreciate all the efforts by the scores of agents to sign Peyton to a baby modeling contract, we respectfully decline. Peyton would instead prefer to focus on her two favorite things -- sleeping and eating. Her parents support this decision.

Nursery Is Done!!

It took us almost 3 months, but Peyton's room is finally finished. Martin did an amazing job - what started out as a bright yellow guest bedroom has been transformed into a pink, white and brown palace for Peyton. The before, during, and after shots are below.

I'm 37 weeks today, which means Peyton is officially considered full-term. As Martin said at the doctor's office - it's game time. She could come any day and be completely healthy. So far, though, I haven't seen, felt, or noticed any signs of her arrival.

9 Months Pregnant!

Happy New Year! Martin and I rang in 2010 quietly at home. We struggled to stay awake until midnight, but I did enjoy a sip (or two) of a nice Rose of Champagne. Martin spent much of the day trying to coax Peyton out of her cozy home in hopes of reaping the benefits of the child tax credit. He offered to buy her a pony if she made her debut before the clock struck midnight. The offer was extended to New Year's Day if she were to be the first baby born in 2010 (we understand you get loads of free stuff for the first baby of the year). Clearly Peyton is not interested in ponies (yet) as she refused Dad's bribery attempts.

I am now 9 months pregnant - only 28 days until my due date of January 31! Most people are placing bets that I will be early because of my size, but you can be the judge and make your own predictions in the comment section below based on the picture above, which was taken on Sunday. I am feeling pretty well all things considered. Sleeping is a challenge, but otherwise I really can't complain. I'm still hitting the gym 3-4 times a week (despite the stares of several old men who apparently don't think a pregnant woman should be working out), although my workouts have become slower and much shorter.
