Exceeding expectations

I'm not gonna lie - neither Martin or I believe Peyton will ever be a star athlete. With the exception of her unexplained talents in the pool, Peyton is not what anyone would call atheltic. She is instead clumsy, slightly awkward, and perhaps even a bit goofy when it comes to any type of sport.

Despite this, Martin insisted on not putting the training wheels on - and instead took it upon himself to teach her how to ride the thing like a big girl from the beginning. I was too tired from all the holiday parties and too busy planning Peyton's 4th birthday to engage in a battle over this one. I figured Martin would eventually give up and put the training wheels on - I just hoped it was before Peyton broke an arm.

But Peyton knocked both of our socks off when after only a few hours of practice, she was riding like a pro. So take a look - maybe my kid has some varsity potential afterall!
