She's Got Ears, Say Cheers!

Happy Halloween!  Yes, I know I'm a month late.  But in the past 30 days the Hellmers have closed on and moved into a new home, traveled to DC for a very special girl's 2nd birthday, spent a wonderful week in the Caribbean, driven to New Mexico for Thanksgiving, and in the midst of all of this, attempted to begin unpacking THOUSANDS of boxes.  So, Peyton's Place has taken a backseat over the past few weeks.  But, now that we are starting to settle into a bit of a routine and return to normalcy, my witty captions and adorable pictures of Princess Monkey Bear are back!  JOYOUS DAY.

Peyton dressed up as her favorite TV icon, Minnie Mouse.  Halloween was the third day we lived in our new 'hood, so making a good impression on the new neighbor kids was a must.  And Peyton knocked it out of the park.  You can be the final judge, but I'm pretty sure she is the prettiest, most perfect Minnie ever (classic red Minnie is SO much better than the new pink Minnie).

Peyton was minimally amused by treak-or-treating...but she LOVED handing candy out to everyone else.  After each group walked away, Peyton asked for "more kids."

My lame attempt at Halloween decorations on our second day in the house.

Minnie in the house!

Grandma and Grandpa supplied the Halloween light stick.

GeeGee and Nahnee admiring Peyton's cuteness.

As your older, wiser cousin, I can tell you from experience that eating the light stick is a bad idea.

My new neighbor - who happens to be my best friend!  Hooray!

Daddy's girl - only she could get him to wear the ears.

Meeska, Mouska, MINNIE Mouse!
